Aspen, related to the Poplar tree, always stands straight and strong and reaches and looks higher towards the Divine Creator, and Aspen is here to let you know, it's time for you look up, face your fears and doubts of your abilities of using the gifts and dreams Creator gave to you.
Last week Owl spoke of confronting your shadow self, which can be scary. This week Aspen, represented by its leaves turn yellow in fall, brings the message, do not fear the shadows for there is still sunshine in your soul. Your soul of dreams is shining light in the dark areas of your life, where your fears and doubts lie and Creator knows when there is light on what you fear, it doesn't look as scary, for when you see what it is your fearing you can deal with it, thus the light of Aspen is here to aid and guide you.
This fear could be of failure, being laughed at, not being accepted into the group, be abandoned if you don't follow the rules, or maybe you don't think your idea, an idea creator anointed you to do, is a good idea, thus you put it on hold. Sometimes unless you put your foot in the water first, as those who crossed the Jordan did when the water wasn't parted, you won't know that the waters will part if you just take the first step. Do not fear if the first step doesn't work, if the 'waters' don't part, you can just take your foot out and try again later.
Aspen is here to help you shed these out dated ideas of self, and with Her rustling leaves She's whispering in your ear of new opportunities, rebirth and of healing. Aspen will help you fearlessly confront your soul of ideas and not fear putting your foot in the waters first.
Because Aspen is a fast growing tree it brings the medicine and messages as well, endure and pursue your dreams, for your roots in who you are, are strong. Aspen with it's strong roots systems is bringing the message too, it's through your strong root system you will remember your dreams and your Divine purpose. Rely on your roots to get you through any and all hardships, doubts or fears that will block your endeavors.
Spend time with the wonderful Aspen, in a meditation, walking the woods, or looking at a picture. Feel her essences of love and courage as you enter into a state of calm and openness with Her. In this state of calm and openness, shed light on yourself and ask yourself, what is it your are most afraid of, what really are your dreams.
Choose one dream for now, any dream you have and ask Aspen to shed the light of her energy upon those fears and doubts hampering your dream, so you can see the whole picture better, and once you are in the light, what you can see you will no longer fear and you'll have faith in yourself and what Creator has given you, and then you can take that first step.
